How far would you travel for a TF ?
I was just wondering how far would you all travel for transformers ?
As for me a 3 hour drive to TFCon is about as far as I'm willing to go. Just curious.

Aside from the trips to the states, not that far. 20 min drive tops for local stuff. States trips are for more than just TF's though

Re: How far would you travel for a TF ?
I wont go out of my way for a TF unless it is in my area I will usually ask to have it shipped now for things like furniture/Detolfs I will travel about an hour.
Yes TFCon is more just over an hour away for me but I just don't buy tf's there so doesn't count I also go to the 80's expo but same thing not just for toys I am there for the Convention aspect as well

Re: How far would you travel for a TF ?
For a pick up about 30-45 mins. For a con? Well if it's hours away might as well make a weekend of it. So no real answer there.

Depends on the toy and the price.

If it's something I want then city is the limit but other than that it has to be really great to make me travel. Like 20-1hr maybe if like I said I really needed it.

Re: How far would you travel for a TF ?
For a retail toy, not very far, at this point, seeing as how I don't really collect things from retail anyways. If it's not on the way of my usual day-to-day, I don't bother.
For a local trade/sale, I usually try to meet halfway with the other party; I've driven out 45-60 minutes in the cold December weather to meet Pascal on our first trade many years ago.
For a convention, depends which one. I've driving the ~5-ish hours from Montreal to Toronto for TFCon for the majority of my attendances.

Re: How far would you travel for a TF ?
For a really special, hard-to-find vintage piece I'd probably drive 1.5 to 2 hours. For a con, 1 hour and for anything else 30 minutes tops.

Re: How far would you travel for a TF ?
I'll be driving 4hrs or more for TFCon and have made he same trip before for 80s Toy Expo and then driven back after only being there a couple of hours. I've always picked up many items at the Cons to make it worth the trip.
I would make any distance trip for an item that I knew would cost more to ship than to pick up.
