Canada Post - RANT! Thieves!?

So I recently acquired a very nice G1 Grimlock, missing his right arm. dougie_prime had one and was nice enough to hook me up with one. The envelope arrived today.....BUT......it had been opened and the arm was gone! WTF!!! The envelope had a 1inch tear in it and some of the bubble wrap hanging out. I opened it and my fears were realized......nothing but bubble wrap, no arm to be seen. Unbelievable.

I filed a complaint, but realistically that will do nothing. Just have to suck it up.

Anyone else have this happen to them?

Gotta ship stuff with tracking to avoid this.

You should use Xpress Post just to make sure and it come's with an insurance. The only thing that I don't like with Canada Post is when they leave your package in front of your door. And the funny part is when you check their website with your tracking # it says "Item successfully delivered to recipient's front door". How come they can say successfully when they just leave the package in front of your door and on that time it was raining hard.

Isn't that just a case of the part piercing the enveloppe from the inside going through their sorting machines and making its way out accidentally? Happened before.

That is indeed a possibility, but it was also wrapped in bubblewrap, it would have had to squeeze out of that too, but not entirely impossible. Either way, Sucks!

I have had this issue even with tracking & express post. All they do is give back the money. It Sucks!

Bubble wrap envelope or a normal envelope with the item wrapped in bubble wrap?

Not sure if you guys remember this, but years ago there was an online store called Link2cooltoys.com, it was the guy Sheraz at Kool Toys bought out I think.

Anyway, I used to order in bulk from him for all the local people in my area so we'd save on shipping and also get a bit of a discount.

One day I come home and on my front doorstep is a box from Link2Cooltoys. This was a big box with over 1000 dollars in Takara Masterpiece Optimus Prime's in it, just sitting where anyone could have taken it and walked off.

Needless to say I wasn't very happy about it and when I confronted the post office about it they got quite a strip torn off them.

They should never leave a package where anyone can take it, regardless of how safe they feel it is to leave it there.

Re: Canada Post - RANT! Thieves!?

deja vu indeed....

...if it is not a letter or card, do not ship in an envelope. This will happen a lot as the letters are highly pressurized when being fed through the sorting machines.
