Welp, looks like Gears has been pushed back to the 19th. Funny how the other 3 bots I pre-ordered along with him came out early last week, with Gears listed to come on the 10th only to get pushed back even more. Was hopin to get him before my birthday too, ah well.

RATS - there's some payment bananas going on with my Gears WM order, and I was excited for tomorrow to give me the real lowdown - if it's delayed release, then I won't see that resolution as soon as hoping, *grump*

I asked the local shop to get an AnimatedOP in for me
They never called, but last week I saw one on the shelf “is this the one I asked about” “…sure?”
Didn’t buy it though, noticed a crow’s feet QA on the edge of one of his eyes

Showed the rep “can you get another one in” “sure”

They call me today, the 2nd AnimatedOP is in
I recognize it’s the same guy so I ask “how’s the face look”
“…there’s a mark on his face right above the mouth”

I go in to see it, and it’s worse than the 1st one - a big chip in the paint, right on his upper lip
I look over at the regular shelves “did you guys manage to move that 1st copy… nope it’s still there”

So now they’ve gotten two copies in, and I don’t want either
The store manager is literally glowering at me, as if to say “we got BOTH of these in for YOU”

… damn it
