Does this one mean that BW Megatron knew about a legendary creature known as a Dragon, that he would eventually create?
Then where did the legend of the Dragon come from in his timeline? Wouldn't it not exist at all considering he has yet to create it?
I think if you're going for him creating the legend of Dragons then he would have to be the first and have an entirely new alt mode based off nothing already existing in the past. Wouldn't be unheard of (thinks of Fuzors...)

Time loops, man. Happens in all sci-fi.

That's not a contradiction, necessarily. Time travel has different effects, sometimes "we were meant to do this for history to be correct" and other times "Oh my! We changed history!"
Matrix, StarTrek changes its time rules every episode!
As for Transformers:
G1 -Prime in present day recognized the Arialbots having saved him 9 million years ago. Also, Blaster and the 2006 Autobots helped in the war against the Quints, and Blaster was confident they'd win when he left "After all, you already did".
BW - All major events on past Earth were 'meant' to happen.
- Primal destroys Earth's 2nd 'moon'
- Dinobot saves the valley apes
- BW Megs flies the Nemesis out of water & crashes it elsewhere, possibly on land where G1 Megs finds it in 1985
- The Ark's shuttlepod
It won't completely fit (The Matrix was a breakable spark shell, Megatrons spark was removed) but it's still close if you wanna consider BW part of the same G1-verse.
