My assumption on the Kaite Madigan custom is based on this and that the blade things seems to be designed to be removable. Seems like a prime candidate for a Tamashii Web. Or the link is a prototype or idea they abandoned. Like S.H.Figuarts Kabuto Masked Form. Who knows, maybe that will finally come out after the Kabuto renewal version.
Anyways, of course going from Master Grades, Metal Builds or GFF Metal Composite, to Robot Damashii is going to feel like a downgrade . But seriously, like with anything, some are going to be better than others.
I thnk the Testament is pretty fine, the engineering borrows from the RD Strike, which I thought was okay.
Off the top of my head the RX-78-2, Nu Gundam, Wing Zero Custom, Sinanju, Unicorn (or Banshee) Full Action Version, and Banshee Norn are some of the best RD that I've had experience with. I don't build gunpla anymore so I got a few of these...
You can find a RD Sinanju on Mandarake for like 2000 yen.

The link you posted is actually the Kaite Madigan custom Testament; the presentation at C3 x Hobby 2013 where that picture was taken has it written on the label/name-card right in front of it. But like you, I definitely feel like it's going to be a Tamashii Web exclusive. I'm not sure what new blade part you're referring to, though.
I actually have quite a bit more RDs than just the Testament and Extreme; but I'm trying to sell them off (Aile Strike + exclusive Sword/Launcher packs, Strike Freedom (1st release) + exclusive wing effect parts, exclusive Strike Rouge, 00 + O-Raiser + exclusive GN Sword III, Arbalest + exclusive booster, exclusive M9-colored Arbalest). Of those, I've only opened the Strike (not a bad toy at all) and the Arbalest (MUCH nicer than the Revoltech Laevatein that I use for comparison).

What I mean is that the Trikeros Kai has a retractable sword blade. And on the Damashii Testament Gundam, the contracted blade on the shield can be removed, and there is not an extended version included. So I assume if an extended blade part were to come out it would be with the Kaite Madigan custom.
Admittedly, I have little knowledge of Astray so my noob info comes from random places like the wiki. They have this image that shows on the left with the blade extended.
I don't have the Arbalest, but the other ones you listed are all okay except for the 00. The 00 is pretty awesome assuming you have the updated Seven Sword version that comes with parts to make the normal version.
I have the Revoltech Arbalest and Laevatein. They've aged terribly.

I see what you mean by the blade. Though I'd find it odd if an integral part like that was only available on the second (possibly exclusive) release... Then again, I wouldn't put it past them; makes the second release more desirable and gets people to double-dip.
The RD 00 that I have is indeed the 00 Seven Swords; I got the O-Raiser and exclusive GN Sword III to pimp him out to the max; sadly (or fortunately?), he's been superceded by the Metal Build version.
The Revoltech Laevatein is really... meh... by today's standards. Good thing I got him for pretty cheap at TRU in Tokyo (specifically the one in Odaiba, actually) a few years back. I'm SO looking forward to the Metal Build Laevatein that's going to be announced/unveiled at Tamashii Nation 2013 in the next couple of days.

Re: Post your hauls
Bought the BB Legend SD Musha and Knight Gundam.
Don't normally buy SD kits, but Ryubi Strike impressed me a whole lot so I decided to give other kits from this line a try.

They look like fun little guys - haven't opened them up yet though. I saw those "Turtles in Training" packs too, but passed. Doesn't really fit in well to me.
