Kept mine. Using it to hold other boxes (folded) and cards.

That's true... if you're using it to stash other things, why not?

For my collection though, to hang on to all those boxes would be insane. I really just keep 3rd party and Japanese packaging now... if that.

There's a part of me that actually *groans* inside when something comes out with nice packaging... because I know that'll make it harder for me to get rid of it. I think the Combiner Wars packaging is really easy on the eyes, so that's been rough on me.

Yeah. Some packaging look very good filed in a folder as well. I will some day file the others I've accumulated.

Anyway, here's another quickie.

Same here. And actually, I often have my 3rd party items sent loose to save on shipping. Hasbro/Takara, unless Masterpiece, I don't keep anymore.

At least the MP cars have really small, uniform, space-conscious boxes. I like those.

My Hasbro MP Soundwave on the other hand... that was a monster box. I had to ditch it.

As for those 3rd party figures... some of those have ridiculously large boxes. The TW Dinobots for example. Ouch. Ditto the MMC Predacons. For a collector-oriented market, you'd think that 3rd party companies would be more sensitive to collector concerns... use really minimalist streamlined packaging... saves on collection space AND on shipping!

One of the only reasons I hang on to the 3rd party stuff is in case I might sell it again down the road. Stuff that I know I'm gonna keep forever, I can usually get rid of those boxes.

I'll also say that I've found that I have very few regrets about getting rid of packaging. It's worth making the call and getting rid of it.

Here's another way of using those boxes instead of throwing them away.

I was inspired by that coffee mug sighting over the sister site and looked at old coffee purple tumbler.

Nice. Bing-bang-bing-bang: with some luck, the toy will arrive fully transformed.

I'm actually not quite sure what you've done here... did you just stuff the paperworkf for your Motormaster into a cup? What does that do? Doesn't it make the cup useless? I don't understand.
