Re: Transformers Prime

Fe Prime mold is superb for the realistic matching to the show. The mold is the number 1 OP prime mold.

Re: Transformers Prime

I'm a G1 guy myself, but after watching 2 seasons of it I began to enjoy it. The show has its moments so I'll keep watching but I will always love my G1.

Re: Transformers Prime

I'm a G1 guy at heart too and wasn't impressed when I first saw the character designs of Prime. After watching the show (and loving it), the designs started to grow on me - probably because I got to know the personalities associated to them.

With the toy line, it's a hit or miss so far... but most are pretty good with a few being standouts.

I have collected quite a few Prime toys, but I will not be getting them all - some of them are really poor in my opinion (e.g. Knockout, Airachnid).

Re: Transformers Prime

I care about the toyline a lot less than some other toylines. Between the shitty distribution, mediocre molds, and canceled/Takara exclusive characters, it's just not worth caring about.

Re: Transformers Prime

I haven't been big into a Transformers cartoon series since Beast Wars. I felt similarly apathetic about Prime when I first saw the toys, but figured I'd give the show a try anyways. After that I was pretty much sold. Whether or not you like the aesthetic, the show is pretty awesome.

I decided to compromise and just buy the Cyberverse toys. That way I can collect the whole line and not make my wallet explode. I'm still not entirely sold on some of the character designs, but as a whole I'm very happy with them. They've really grown on me.

Just give the show a chance and you might change your mind too.

Any chance they re-issue first edition voyager Optimus Prime?
And not to open old wounds, but did we ever get wave 2 & 3 of the deluxe line?
It's likely we'll see the First Edition molds, including Vehicon but minus Bumblebee and Cliffjumper, (instead it'll be Terrorcon Cliff) in November @ TRU. The Voyager case assortment is still 3 Optimus and 1 Bulkhead per case, I believe.

As for the mainline, that would be a no. We're practically lucky to be seeing wave 2 of Bot Shots, it seems. I'd prefer it if we skipped Deluxe wave 2 and went straight to wave 3. Arcee and Ratchet are in that one as well, but only one Bumblebee per case.
