Sentinel Prime G1

If Sentinel Prime were to be the leader of the Autobots instead of Optimus Prime during the Great War in the G1 cartoon, how would he cope with being leader and facing the pressure of leading the Autobots to victory? Would he do like Optimus did, do they search mission to find energon? or he would try and stop the Decepticons by any means possible. Will he be strong enough to confront Megatron as Optimus Prime is/was?

Well, that depends...which Sentinel Prime are you referring to? The Sentinel Prime from the Dark of the Moon Movie, or the Sentinel Prime from Transformers Animated?

G1 Comics Sentinel Prime

G1 Sentinel Prime for all intensive purposes from the comics is just an enforcer pawn of the senate. He doesn't have the Matrix that bestows the wisdom passed down through the ages. That was only given to Optimus. I don't think he would have been as effect leaders even though he is a Prime. If he did have the Matrix I think he would have been a great General but not an iconic leader. He is too selfish and has the why bother? attitude as a result of the complacency from the centuries under control of the senate.
