Re: BC Community Thread For Non-Sightings Chat
Anyone ever hear if Canada Customs has tampered with Canadian resident's electronic devices (cell phone, laptop, tablets) on the way back into Canada? The reason I ask is, on my way back from Las Vegas last month, customs at YVR decided to pull me in and do a full inspection of my luggages and electronic devices. I had nothing to hide, so I was fine with it. But, they took my laptop and cell phone to another room, to inspect them. My cell phone has been acting up since. I haven't used my laptop, but I'm worried if they bugged it or something. I was told after by my friend I could of requested them to go through my devices in front of me.

They do check your devices, not sure if they would tamper or bug it as they are just browsing e-mail, texts, internet history and such for any suspicious stuff. Not sure where you could file a complaint, but I am sure you can...

Re: BC Community Thread For Non-Sightings Chat
Not a jab to Canada Custom or CBSA, but I paid import duty for a jacket I bought online from UK, but the size was wrong. So I returned it for a size exchange (I paid postage for the return), but the seller did not label the second shipment as "Exchange" and now I have to pay for duty again. I refused the delivery and called DHL. Now I have to fill in a CBSA form and mail it to their office to request a refund of the duty I pay the first time...
