Orion Pax?

Forgive my ignorance but why is the new Orion Pax figure and earth based vehicle? Should it not be Cybertronian or is this some alternate timeline thing?

But what is the reason for the Earth-vehicle in the IDW comic? Is he not of Cybertron origin?

It's not really an Earth vehicle, similar but not. The design is a bit simpler for a Cybertronian look but I wouldn't call it an "Earth" truck mode.

Ah, thanks. I guess I'm just used to the FOC style of Cybertron modes. I thought he was a pick-up truck and Megs a stealth bomber.

Well, Meg's IS a stealth bomber because that's what he got rebuilt as in the comics. But Orion is a Cybertronian mode that just happens to resemble and Earth pickup truck.
