First time repaint effort, Classics Voyager Ironhide

Found this mold for $6 at LW so I figured Id try it out. I bought the supplies at LW aswell. The head was from a broken armada predicon. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out other than the clear coat. Is it better to have a brush clear instead of a spray clear ? Any criticism is welcome. Thanks for looking !

He turned out really well. Like you say he is a bit glossy but most of customizing is trial and error. Can't wait to see what you come up with next.

^^ Actually I'd say Crossover Ironman. Notice the triangle on the chest/hood. Capt's has a star. Just sayin'.

Looks really good. It's like a classics version of TF Prime Ironhide. It really works.

Maybe some dullcoat would do away with the glossiness. It is also better to do clear coats with sprays to get more even coverage

Great job, really--impressive, if you hadn't said it was your first I'd assume from the pics you were a seasoned customizer.

How was the paint applied?

You can get satin clear coat, maybe that would cut the gloss? Especially on the tires...they need to be satin.
