TFcon Tshirt issues w/ washing

So I went to wash my TFcon Tshirt last night after having worn it once, and the results of putting it through the same washing machine run I always use on my Tshirts turned out.... well, less than stellar.

The entire transfer must not have been screened properly on mine or something, as it is coming apart/peeling off after one trip in a washing machine. I took a couple pics as well. As you can see, there's some really clear/blatant peeling of the transfer off the Tshirt itself in far too many places to be something small.

Has anyone else had this problem with the Tshirt, or is it just me? The 2008-2010 Tshirts did not have this problem - they were washed the same way and I had no issues with them.

Note: I'm not making this out of being POed or anything; mainly doing so to give a heads-up to con staff. I'm curious if this is just mine (a fluke) or if it's a running issue.

Did you put it in the drier? hot wash? usually with heat transfers you turn the shirt inside out, cold wash, hang dry.

I think I used the hot/cold setting on the washing machine, and did a dryer cycle.

Still, this is how I always wash Tshirts. Which include one I had made recently that was a heat transfer, which was in the same load. I did not see any peeling on said shirt in the load.

This is really the first time I've seen anything like this on a Tshirt. I mean, I fully expect the transfer to eventually dull somewhat, but to actually physically peel off? Never seen that before.

Could have happened in the dryer. Even with silk screens your not really supposed to dry stuff. could be your one off.

Your pics aren't showing up. I think it's a permission issue.

Your new shirt looks stylistic retro now

Was that the exclusive shirt this year?

Maybe.

As I said, I'm not trying to raise a stink. Just trying to warn people more than anything to be careful.

Yeah. It's a real shame this shirt got messed up too, as it was a really nice shirt this year. Their best yet.

Re: TFcon Tshirt issues w/ washing

If anyone else has this issue, please post it here.

Also, If anyone else is planning on washing their shirt, try washing it inside out to help avoid this.

Re: TFcon Tshirt issues w/ washing

Gah! Totally forgot about this issue! I just washed mine for the first time the other day. Same problem as Tekno. The image on the shirt just completely destroyed. All sorts of bits peeling off and those that haven't peeled off yet look faded. So disappointing. I've washed my 2010 shirt dozens of times and it still looks like new. Did the TFcon guys go with a cheaper T-shirt company this year or something?
