My Mom tells me I used to have Transformers as a little kid, but I can't remember for the life of me which ones they were.  She doesn't remember either -- she just remembers what a pain in the ass they were to Transform.
I'm not really sure which TF started my adult collection, but I think it was either Movie Concept Camaro Bumblebee or Movie Arcee.

The transformer that got me back into it was RID Prowl. Then Prime, Magnus, Scourge and the train brothers blew my mind.
Then it was all back down hill from there.

I find it interesting how many of us 'older' folk got back into collecting thanks to MP Prime and/or Alternators. Seems that the bigger, better & reborn look of G1 really helped bring a lot more of us back than many people probably realize. It might not have been an intentional move by Hasbro/Takara, but it was a brilliant one all the same.

Well It was BW that got me back into Transformers and It wasn't just one figure...It was four, the very first four BW figures I found... Snapper, Insecticon, Terrorsaur and Armordillo. They were awesome the quick change at a flip, the detail and the articulation... and now I about to hit 700 mark any day now.

First Transformer... technically, it would have been a pair.
First two I got were Transmetal Cheetor and Airazor if I recall correctly. My brother got the Fuzor Terragator as well.
Still have all those figures, though the joints are loose and Cheetor's missing a hand.
