It is weird that there is no real story behind anything right now. Obviously studio series is about the movies, but no current movie to specifically drive it.

Generations took cues from the comics so there was something going on, or the comics were able to integrate somebody getting a new toy (Waspinator, tankor) in a decent way. Right now, nope. The new comics are drawing the toys literally. It's... Off-putting.

I guess cyberverse is ok, but we haven't really had a proper transformers cartoon since Prime went off the air. Short things, web things, YouTube things
...

The fact that Takara doesn't release premium versions of Hasbro toys anymore.

Increase in price with a decrease in quality. I asked Hasbro about this and they said they’d get back to me. All due to an Earthrise Hoist who crumbled in my sons hands. Just looking at it

Yeah... It was kind of fun if you wanted to go that direction.

Yeah. Quality has definitely fallen off the map. I’ve still got some Armada/Energon/Cybertron era figures, and those are still really solid. Like, if the apocalypse happened, I feel like I could beat a zombie into a gooey puddle with my Cybertron Leader Prime, but I’m not certain my Siege Leader Shockwave could survive falling off its shelf three feet to the floor. In fact, I’ve had a few figures literally explode when they’ve tumbled off the display and hit the floor, including Studio Series Lockdown and Combiner Wars Scattershot.

Guys, Hasbro has NOTHING to do with distribution!
The retailers buy what they want from Hasbro, then Hasbro ships the stuff to the retailer's warehouses, where it then gets distributed to the individual stores. Distribution is ENTIRELY in the hands of the retailers. Can't find what you want at Walmart? It's Walmart's fault, not Hasbro's. And keep in mind that generally speaking, Canada is usually behind the releases in the US anywhere from 3 to 6 months. So just because you see people in the US playing with a new toy, doesn't mean you should be able to run out to TRU and find the same toy that day. Unless you want to pay more money for it by buying from US online retailers, you're probably going to have to wait. It's the way it's always been.

What grinds my gears is how I wish they'd get on the ball with their animated series. CW. TR, and POTP all came out AFTER their respective toy lines were already over, and now Siege seems to be following suit.

Release expensive MP figures that have poor materials, resulting in breakage from normal use.

10 years ago maybe, but right now, we often get the new stuff before the US, sometimes before the rest of the world.

Bahahahaha that's funny. Not true for the east coast my friend. We literally have had zero new since February. No SS, not Netflix, no ER wave 2 anything.
