Re: Paging Protoman and GMFan: G1 slag variant
Is that the bat signal?
oooh-kay well doing some research I can't find anything official but it fully possible that this was made like this from the factory if there were a few left over pieces from the initial run used in this figure. It's also fully possible that this is part swapped, most likely the legs taken off a junker CDN Slag....Either way it is sorta one of a kind :P

Re: Paging Protoman and GMFan: G1 slag variant
There have been a few of these color mix Slags show up here and there, probably when Hasbro started to change the colors there was some mixing and matching. So you could end up finding Slag with red face and black legs, or black face and white legs. Sweet find!

did a bit of research as well, seems like megamould is correct, theere is no chance of parts swapping on this figure, it just came out of a basement after 20+ years with the other figures i got tonight, any idea of value?

Re: Paging Protoman and GMFan: G1 slag variant
Tough to say on value. I'm figuring the mix and match Slag is probably more rare than the red Slag. I haven't seen one in ages.
Even if it were a parts swap with a red one, it still presumably wouldn't be any different than one that came out of the factory. Did it come with any weapons? If you scored the red missile launcher with it, that would definitely make it worth even more!

Re: Paging Protoman and GMFan: G1 slag variant
yeah i have that version too. got it from a guys childhood collection 2 years ago. it was in storage and the guy didnt seem to take his toys apart. i think this version may be more rare than the red faced one. i have all 3 versions.

Re: Paging Protoman and GMFan: G1 slag variant
It is def. more rare than a Canadian slag, but good luck convincing anyone that it's worth more
Very cool find though!
