SS86 Slag arrived today.


Big beefy boy and looks great in either mode, though I do wish they had put a little bit more color on his head (even though I know his toon model was entirely red except the blue visor) just so it would stand out.


One of the robot knees doesn't have its ratchet mechanism working, so it glides smoothly, but it's not so floppy as to prevent him from standing up. I can always put a dab of Pledge in if it becomes a problem. It's not teh first time I've had a SS86 dinobot with this issue either as my Grimlock has the same non-ratcheting issue with his elbow/T-rex knee.


Transformation is a little bit fiddly on the back end getting his legs crunched up and everything to tab in snugly (especially that extension piece for the tail) but I can't argue with the results.


now to sit and wait patiently for Snarl to eventually be released. I do want all the dinobots, but my favorite has always been Snarl so I can't wait to see him in all his leader-class glory within this line.

I picked up my preorders of Slag and Wreck-Gar from GameStop. I have similar issue with one of the ratchets in my copy of Slag. It doesn't give those satisfying audible clicks, but glides with less frequent bumps.

Both figures take some fiddling at certain parts of the transformation to get lined up, but they both look great in both modes.

Man picked slag up yesterday, man I love this figure especially with grimlock, they look unreal together and the scale is so perfect!!! I cannot wait for the rest of the dinobots in this scale! Hasbro should have made leader class studio series snarl come out instead of that coronation starscream leader, that no one will buy. Sludge snarl and swoop need to be released quickly I don't wanna wait for a whole year
