Re: POTP impressions

Picked up Grimlock, Swoop, Slug and they're amazing so far. Better quality than I was expecting from some of the negativity out there. Got Dreadwind and the the 3 legends but haven't opened yet. All I have to say is that I yet again underestimated Hasbro. Volcanicus is tighter than most other combiner torso's and the "wide shoulders" look isn't bad at all when you're up close and you spread his legs out a bit, which is easy with ankle rockers now! Love this new combiner, can't wait for the other 2 dino's.

Haven't you learned by now? The fandom is the worst.

Re: POTP impressions

Got Dreadwind today. First POTP figure. I like him. Glad we're getting more combiners. Quality's a bit iffy, but no worse than the average TR deluxe. I actually like the Prime Armor. Seems suiting for a Powermaster.

Re: POTP impressions

Picked up Leader Class Prime. Ugly kibble aside I actually really like this figure. Pretty solid too, including Orian.

Re: POTP impressions

It appears the arms are incorrectly transformed in the instructions and on the packaging for Optimus Prime in truck mode. Interestingly enough, both the fists and the wrists can perfectly tab in on the pegs located on the backside of Orion Pax' chest plate. In the official instructions, the forearms don't tab in anywhere, they just stay folded up against the upper arms.

TABBED BY THE FISTS (makes the forearms perfectly parallel to the ground)

TABBED BY THE WRISTS (this pushes the arms more inside the body, but the tab holes on the wrists are perfectly angled to tab on the chest plate tabs in this positon)

Re: POTP impressions

Either way, those are massive improvements over what we've seen prior to now!

Love the line so far. The execution on Beachcomber is amazing. I couldn't imagine having that as a kid. Leaps and bounds better than the original

Re: POTP impressions

Truck mode may leave room to be desired but I like both Orian and the combined Prime modes so. Probably my fav of all I bought so far which would be the 4 Dinobots.

Re: POTP impressions

Truck mode could have been a bit more convincing had Orion Pax' arms been more blocky.
