General Questions about TFcon
I have a few questions, and probably could find all this if I didn't inhale so many paint fumes today.
1) What is the name of the hotel that TFcon is in? is it in a hotel or convention center?
2) I took a link to the doubletree hotel, is that within walking distance to the convention? Does this hotel have a bar in it? (very important)
3) Is there a list of walkable distance hotels somewhere?

- the doubletree inn,and its a hotel but with sizable conference rooms.
- the walking distance is from your room to the elevators to the main lobby.and yes...the hotel does have a bar,2 or 3 if i remember right(along with a sushi place and a dimsum place and italian restaurant in the lobby)
- not sure about a list as i found it way easier last year to just stay in the same hotel as the convention.(easier to go upstairs, dump out your napsack and then go back down stairs and fill'er up some more)

Re: General Questions about Tfcon
The doubletree hotel is the location for TFcon. Its got a few bars, not overly expensive either and if you look at the front page we have a hotel rate for the show

With the hotel discount for TFcon, combined with the fact that's where TFcon is, staying at the Doubletree is your best bet. It's close to the airport though, so there are other hotels, but if you're worried about price, most of them are likely going to be just as expensive, if not moreso.

Thank you for your helpful answer, Chans!
Just to clarify, the DoubleTree is a regular convention center/hotel which hosts several large conventions every year in the Toronto area.

Re: General Questions about Tfcon
Lets get honest. The only important question here is "is there a bar". The answer is yes. Me and the main lobby bar are best friends. We play poker every tuesday night.
In short, from A apple to Z zebra yes, the doubletree has a good bar.

Now I'm REALLY regretting not getting a hotel the Saturday night. Left to stay with a relative instead.
Although, I've decided I'm coming to TFCon again this year - so I'm not gonna make the same mistake.
