Junkion Blacksmith JB-04 And JB-02 (Soundwave / Blaster Headmasters)

I'm surprised I haven't seen more people buying these, I somehow stumbled across them on tfsource.com for $20 each so I bought the only 2 they had in stock. There are a few more but they're out of stock right now.

Unfortunately even though I ordered JB-02, they somehow accidentally shipped me JB-02B (Soundblaster) so I contacted them and they said they'd ship me the right one on my next order. I get shipments from them once a month so it's no big deal.

The figures are very cool, they're about the same size as their WST companions but the very cool thing is they no only transform into their respective cassette players, they also transform into heads. And as Headmasters, they plug directly into the 1987 Headmaster figures.

They also come with a little elliptical plastic piece which I didn't understand the purpose of until I watched a video review on YouTube and saw that this plastic adapter is actually to plug the heads into themselves. So you can have a Headmaster on another Headmaster! These are very cool and well worth the $20 each.

I even included a photo of the Soundblaster Headmaster on Masterpiece Soundwave.

I'm surprised nobody commented on this. I thought more people would be buying them.

I bought my first two (OP and Soundwave) in 2011 and I still think they are pretty cool but yeah, they're technically considered "old news"...

I've almost chucked these guys on my POL 1/2 dozen times. I wish I had when Op was still available, I think bbts only has Soundblaster now. But seeing now that they can combine with themselves, I may have to start hunting. That Soundblaster head would look great on Mindwipes body.

Re: Junkion Blacksmith JB-04 And JB-02 (Soundwave / Blaster Headmasters)

NECROTHREAD:

Okay, elephant in the room is acknowledged.

I have the whole set (minus not-Soundblaster, which I sold a while ago).

Here's the extras with the rest of the figures:

not-Optimus Prime - adapter

not-Nemesis Prime - adapter

not-Soundwave - adapter

not-Soundblaster - adapter

not-Ultra Magnus - adapter, 2x shoulder missiles, plus new piece to connect not-Optimus (or another in the set) to G1 Powermaster Optimus Prime.

not-Blaster - adapter, plus shoulder gun for not-Soundwave (or another in the set).

not-Megatron - adapter, scope cannon, plus another adapter with a 5mm peg on the underside (no clue who this goes to).

I decided to dig them out of storage, what with the whole Titanmaster thing.

I completely forgot you could use them as a head for each other using an adapter. The adapters got me thinking...

Since they can't be used with the new Titans Return figures as is, maybe an adapter could work. I mean, their tiny heads retract into their bodies, so they won't get in the way.

I got the measurements with a micrometer, now I just need to 3d model it and then make some test 3d prints. They're big for the TR deluxe bodies, but voyager and leader should be fine.
