Staying at the Hilton: good? bad? ugly?
Hi!
The family and I are looking into attending this year's TFCon. We're from out of town (Laval, Quebec represent!) and since it's at a hotel we figured we might as well actually stay there for TFCon weekend. So how is the actual hotel to stay at? Is it decent? Crappy? Should we stay somewhere else?
Thanks!

The hotel is actually very decent. And the nice thing is you can just take hauls up to your room and take a break any time you want when you stay at the host hotel. And makes hanging out after hours much easier.

We have our work conference annually there. The rooms are spacious and clean.
There are a number of restaurants nearby as well.

Hotel is great. Nice shopping options on the same road if others want to check out a mall, or Walmart or the like. They aren’t super close, but a nice mall and Walmart are on the same road as the hotel.

They have a pretty sweet indoor pool with a large waterslide, it's open pretty late
Hotel is nice, rooms have been good last few times my family has stayed

Re: Staying at the Hilton: good? bad? ugly?
The room I stayed in a couple of years ago was great.
Hopefully someone can post "safe" pictures of what the room looks like; and PM you the pics of the rooms when you put the kids to bed, and attend an after-hours party in another's room.

My understanding is that the food in the hotel is ludicrously expensive, though, so be prepared to either leave for food or bring your own.

Pretty good.
Not hard to see why they continue to have it take place there annually.

We'll have snacks with us but no meals. I'm trying to Google for interesting places to eat but outside of the typical fast food stuff, I have no idea what's good. A lot of restaurants in the area get not-so-great Yelp reviews.
