I want to give a little shout out to Toyhax on the sticker set for RID Strongarm. In general that toy is not that great. But for some reason when you put these stickers on, BOOM, visually 10x better, really POPS! Other honourable mentions are TR Astrotrain, Generations Deluxe Megatron (stealth bomber), and TLK Voyager OP - it gives this already amazing toy the amazing deco it needs.

I really don't get the clamour for these reissues. These figures have been released like 10 times since the they came out. What's the big deal? Is it the novelty of seeing 80s toys in stores again?

Apparently Starscream has painted eyes for the first time ever. That's kind of a big deal.
Besides that... the boxes are pretty damned G1. That's a first.

Encore had pretty G1 boxes, but I guess if we're talking almost straight up replicas, that's true.
I didn't know that about Starscream, that's pretty cool. I think the Minibots had painted faces too. I was kind of interested but it's the kind of thing I certainly wouldn't get if I already had a version.

I'll get that Starscream if I stumble across it but it is REALLY expensive for what it is IMO. I passed on the Insecticons a couple years ago for the same reason and only got the second round of jets because they went on clearance at Walmart.

Yeah, the same toys just keep getting more expensive. Pretty sure it was the same for me with the Coneheads. Funny thing is I still haven't opened them.

If any fellow Vancouverites see an extra starscream on their travels, i'll glady pay the cost price plus $20 to help for time/gas.
I'm rather busy these days with work and family, so unfortunately don't have much time to go to the stores
