Sadly, that's about the most compelling argument the FIRRIB camp has come up with yet.

That's because you were paying attention.

Too much.

I generally consider the RIR/RIB debate to be one of those topics that fans will always jump into for the heck of it, and for the fun of trash-talking each other. I mean, it's so obvious that it's pretty hard to take too seriously. But I mean... stick to the facts, right?

That pic of runble with the colour red on teletran 1 says it all. Sadly, even if let's say I paint one myself, it will be blue.

That recycled model sheet image on the Teletran screen from
Heavy Metal War is actually a pretty recent development. I guess that before the recent DVD editions, nobody had really noticed that small print. It confirms that Rumble was always
supposed to be red... but somewhere along the line for the cartoon, they decided to go purple instead.

So where's your
PURPLE Rumble?

I mention it. Often.
But nobody really paid that much attention to the Tech Specs numbers anyway, so "The Great Seeker Swap" is relatively unknown, even among bigtime fans. And, on that topic, Starscream and Skywarp
ARE NOT even swapped... it's actually a 3-way swap with Thundercracker. T-cracker's stats are the ones on Starscream's card. The easy giveaway is that out of the three, Skywarp is the least intelligent and Starscream has the highest rank (and highest pretty much everything else).
The Sideswipe/Sunstreaker things bothers me to this day. The discrepancies in their bios makes it clear that they got swapped (always confused me as a kid). The descriptions of each one fits the other toy
so much better... but that error is REALLY too far gone. There's pretty much no way anybody would insist on re-assigning those two.
Another thing that bothered me... that in 1984, the Autobots had a BlueSTREAK
and a SunSTREAKer. It seemed kind of... odd. Again, it made more sense to me when I later heard that Sunstreaker was supposed to be named "Spin Out".
