Many times!!.....until i broke his rear-right vertical frame bar.
I really wanted to master his transformation so bad. a little too bad. It's all about Maximum playtime!!

how did you break it? i've only had an issue with the seeker mold myself, stupid wing hinges

Twice in total, once when I got him, fresh out the box and then again after buying the upgrade kit (I had to make sure all was well).
He is far too delicate and it took over an hour as I had also heard the horror stories. The MP seekers and Optimus are a breeze compared to Megs!!

I started once and got to a point where I thought a piece was about to snap so back into bot mode he went.
I'll just live through the braver people on this site instead of busting a very expensive Transformer.

seekers? not a chance, wait until the wing joint just decides not to work properly one day, and snaps that half millimeter piece of plastic that they call a joint...megs is sturdier than they are, i love the seeker mold, but those wing joints are crap

Many times, though he's in storage now. I'm such a rebel that I've actually twirled the gun around its trigger while in gun mode. I do not advise this action. Actually, I have the add-on silencer and stock, but I've yet to ever have that attached since they're all in storage. At some point a gathering of Decepticons and Predacons (most likely the other Megatrons) will rise up and free him from his plastic and cardboard prison.
