Film Glyph
Function: Archaeometrist
Motto: "Erudition is the privilege of those who observe detail."
One of the final survivors of an earlier doomed Autobot exploration mission to Earth, Glyph has spent several hundred years stranded on a world that has become, for her, not unlike an immense science experiment. A natural researcher and forensic scientist, Glyph's advanced hermeneutic circuitry allows her to analyze and decipher even the most cryptic of patterns and language structures. She has become obsessed with the variety and complexity of Earth cultures.
Glyph's robot form is neither particularly strong nor durable. Coupled with limited combat skills, she is a bit of a liability in a fight. Instead, she uses her knowledge behind the scenes, helping the Autobots adapt to their new home.
(Well, the sign did say not to walk on the grass--sometimes subtleties of language elude even Glyph.)
