I think Generations Warpath could be a Masterpiece figure

Does anyone else agree? I was amazed by this figure when it first came out and I still am when I take it off the shelf. I keep it with my Masterpiece collection because it's the same size, the transformation is quite simple, it's the same quality and it looks very faithful to the cartoon.....at least in robot mode.

It's my favourite non-Masterpiece figure I bought recently and I recommend it to anyone whom doesn't have it. I think if Hasbro put it in a nice box with a $60 price tag that a lot of collectors would buy it, it's worth it.

Re: I think Generations Warpath could be a Masterpiece figure

It's a nice figure, and a great representation of Warpath, but I think you've got rose colored glasses on.

Warpath is missing a few bits of articulation that IMHO all masterpiece figures should have, wrist swivel, waist swivel, ankle tilt, and the range of articulation on his hips is limited. His head is on a swivel that doesn't let it move up or down.

The presence of these limitations doesn't mean it's not a good figure. It just means it's got a ways to go to be a masterpiece. As a Generations style representation of a G1 character, it's a solid addition to any collection. And who knows maybe HasTak will down the road base a masterpiece figure on this representation, which wouldn't be bad at all.

Cheers.

Yea it actually dose look very impressive, however like Sun Swipe said it should have more articulation. I am curious to see what other people would say could be considered a masterpiece.

The alt mode alone prevents it from being an MP. The figure is awesome, but it's not this...

I like the figure, I like the transformation.... but I friggin' hate "H" tanks... Warpath never was an H Tank. He would've been incredible if he were a tank like Msol shows.

If only they got the head right, it would probably be my favorite from that line. Sadly it looks more like Razorback than Warpath.

He's a great figure but he's not cartoon accurate.

I hate H tanks too. Especially Armada Megalvatron and ROTF Megatron. That's just a lazy way of doing a tank Transformer. At least Warpath has an interesting transformation.

In general, I would say comparing any other official line to Masterpiece is pretty far fetched.

Hopefully we will get an MP tank soon....MP Blitzwing

Yeah, the robot mode's awesome (I love the colours), but I passed on this figure because H tanks are boring to me; they just look like robots lying down.

A proper tank MP would be spectacular; I'd LOVE a tank MP Megatron in G1 colours, even though it'll probably never happen since, as mentioned, the MP line is all about cartoon accuracy. I just hope Hasbro knocks it out of the park with the upcoming leader Megs.
