Trypticon, I hope they don't screw it. Metroplex' city mode was really bad, I hope Trypticon's will be better.

Really, Metroplex just had five city mode flaws: lacking a chest ramp long enough to properly reach down, lacking the knee pivot, lacking the second big red gun, lacking a tower made from slammer, and lacking a six-gun torso tower. seven if you count lacking a left forearm flip-open gun matching the right arm, but that's a battle station mode problem. Six if you include the cutting of the voice portion of the sound chip for Canadian and European releases.
But, I mean, you can tell from the finished figure that Metroplex had a huge number of features cut for cost-saving. Namely the bridge and innards have spots for three separate electronic feature buttons.
As for Fortress Maximus, from the pics it looks like his legs can open just like T30 Metroplex (along with his right upper torso flipping open like Metroplex's left, since most of the torso's just facing backwards). With some work on the legs and knee joint, he can match G1 Fortress Maximus' city mode. Shouldn't take much for a 3rd party company and some careful cutting.
Trypticon's a weird one. Will they try for a FoC/WfC version that can change into the Nemesis? Or will they try to match G1's modes as much as possible? No idea. I just hope they don't make a major mistake by adding a walking feature.
