I'm Feeling Very Olympic Today: The Vancover 2010 Olympic Thread

So I'm done waiting for you other hosers to create this thread eh!

Canada managed to squeek past Norway tonight in mens hockey and Russia is looking good right now.

USA just got past the Swiss and looked shakey at the start.

As well I've been watching the figure skating, same old shitty judging there....How does a team that fell down three times get a medal?

Teemu plays tomorrow!

I can't wait for the artistic snow carving contest! Apparently France has already bought a few judges off for that one.

What you been watching?

I'm watching the Olympics almost all day long while I'm working. Love it all except figure skating and curling.

The Olympics are literally right in my back yard...I live 10 minutes from the Richmond Oval and they've converted the park by City Hall into the 'O-Zone' where the Holland/Heineken House resides...home the the $3 water and $4.50 pint of beer (crazy, cute Dutch girls are everywhere).

I commute to and from work by bicycle and I caught a little of Kathleen Edwards doing her sound check the other day. Watched Rick Hansen bring the torch in last week.

Strange enough I haven't watched much of the Olympics on TV...still scarred by the footage on the local news of that Georgian luge-er dying on his test run last week.

Haha, are you reading it by choice? The Japanese must be going apeshit over it.

A lot of the CDN athletes are losing their edge over other athletes, such as the change in the luge track, the changing terrain due to the warm weather, throwing them off their game.

Not really. Nothing like they do for Baseball. The others were talking bout it earlier. And we'll probably talk more about it in class again, since I am the token "Canadian."

I like to take pictures with my panoramic camera, so I thought I'd share some Olympic pictures from around the city during the first few days.

HBC

Molson Brewery

German House

Art Gallery

Robson Square

Quebec House

Molson Hockey House

Olympic Village

Wow, pics looks awesome man. If there's some good international food, prolly a good idea to try it out while the games are still there.

You guys still have a Molson brewery? Ours was torn down and condos were built over them.
