Plus you get the luck of Target in the US for clearance (especially now).

Got my Skullgrin and Pointblank from Walmart this morning. Still hasn't been any word about what they're doing with the dead-end I ordered. I haven't received a cancellation notice like some have. But I also have a backup one arriving from Amazon probably this evening so I can wait and see how the Walmart one resolves and best case I can sell at cost or return the Amazon one, worst case I pay full price instead of $21 but at least I didn't miss out or have to pay stupid Toy Traders markup after the fact.

Only thing required is a bit of patience because they don't always get things in as quick as big retailers or are able to process orders as quick.

I've abandoned TRU but mostly I still shop walmart for in-store. Because as nonsensical as it is I can feel less bad about my purchases if they're occasionally mixed into the grocery bill where I don't notice them instead of getting a credit card statement with a $100 Toy Snowman order.


Plus chains are better about free shipping thresholds when I order online and shipping can be a big chunk of the bill on Transformers. And they tend to have sales that are more impactful because by the time specialty places mark down something it's usually something I've had for months or have no interest in.

I saw Clampdown available online and randomly ordered it yesterday morning. Hasn’t moved since… I’m curious if I’ll actually get it. I’ll keep you all posted I guess.

Legacy voyager “red ant” Inferno just came back into stock (only 4 available), “sold & shipped by WalMart”

I wanted to cancel the Tarn I preordered and get the Voyager case from cmdstore, but it seems I can't do so now. 30 minute cancellation policy is odd.

Yeah that's the one shitty thing with ordering from Wal-Mart is you can't cancel preorders. (Apart from when they just cancel your order on their own.)

Yeah, it's annoying. I ordered a Hauler from them a while back and then found one in the store literally the next day (this was before it became clear that Hauler was going to shelfwarm to some extent) but it was too late to cancel the order even if I went to the customer service chat, which is hilarious.


"What's that? You want to check on the status of an order that's in limbo? Well we can just cancel your order and tell you to make an impossible new order because there's none in stock."
