No app needed. It is a channel that you tune into and it plays the entire 80's series in order then it plays the movie and then it starts all over again. So if you get one and get it set up then tune in you could see Season 2 Episode " The Secret of Omega Supreme " then it continues in order from there.
It is on channel 3630 along with other toon channels like He-Man, TMNT, 90's Batman, 90's Spider-man plus Simpsons and much more. Also, it uses the internet instead of cables and you do have to pay a monthly user of about $15 BUT you can get monthly or yearly packages to save some money. I got it mainly because I was sick of paying high cable bills every month.
