Thanks to all of you who got to read my piece, and also replied with your feedback. To follow an earlier comment, yes, there was some inspiration from the WWI Christmas Ceasefire. In fact, many,
many years ago, I did have an idea to write a TF
prose story with a one-day Christmas truce theme... and then completely forgot about it. However, I think the idea for this particular piece got spurred from seeing this year's editions of the BW Christmas YouTube videos from David Kaye and Garry Chalk, and something just clicked in my brain.
