I picked up this set because it was so cheap. I originally didn't care much for FOC Grimlock but when I saw it with its gold chrome, bright red thighs and colorful legs it just clicked for me. Really loving the robot mode. Dino mode, a little less so...
But what really surprised me is HOW MUCH I enjoy that Deluxe Optimus Prime!
The transformation isn't too complicated or fiddly, everything clicks together relatively nicely. All in all it's pure satisfying transformation joy! It makes for a striking shiny truck and a really good robot. Sure it has a backpack but it's not a super heavy one, it never gets in the way, and it's barely visible from the front! Really a great little mold! Only downside is the sword doesn't go all the way into the fist hole.
