Hasbro Canada maybe independently run, but Hasbro USA still calls the shots when it comes to which figures they'll produce.
I totally agree with you in regards of supporting the independent retailer. Automation and Ages 3+ and Up have both been excellent to buy from and I will continue to buy from them when the mainline retailers don't carry what I want. Sure it might cost a little more in some cases but I'd rather pay a slight premium to get what I want from a retailer I like.
