I previously ordered and received Octone via amazon.ca.
He was packed in a slightly larger box than Octone's and the rest of the box was filled with large bubble wrap -- each bubble is about the size of MP Ironhide alt-mode. 9 bubbles were used in my shipment.
Box condition was very good: corner dings are negligible. Overall, I'd say the package condition is similar as you might find in a store.
