I'd be happy if they just put someone who appreciates good storytelling in charge, even if they have no past familiarity with Transformers. After all, the guys in charge of Beast Wars knew nothing about the franchise when they started, but they did want to tell a good story instead of just make a dumbed-down cash-in.
