Re: Anyone planning to see Bumblebee tomorrow night?

No spoilers, but I really enjoyed it. The audience was also very upbeat. Beginning with the Intro battle on Cybertron, we see Ratchet, Wheeljack, Ironhide, ARCEE (speaking lines as well), so many faces and when Prime came in the audience went nuts.
I love those Theatre experiences, like Avengers IW where we see Cap at the Subway or Thor, Groot and Rocket enter Wakanda etc. Those are fun when the audience gets that involved.
Bumblebee was a much more heartfelt film in the vain of TF07 although, and I may get flak for this, Shia did a way better job acting along Bee than anyone from any of the films. Hailee was alright, but when she cried there weren't really tears, and that's something, an emotion, Shia brought many times in the film that I really liked. Maybe it's just me, I dunno. I always thought Shia did a great job pretending the Autobots were real, from Bee to simple nods and stuff. Something Mark Boringburg never could do.

Another big cheer moment (mechanized sound) "Ravage, eject".
Overall I liked it but TF07 I think was still the better overall film. It was very cool to see a very "War For Cybertron" intro though.

There are nods to the past films but this movie feels less like a soft reboot and more like a full on reboot with TF07 elements, like Sector 7 and Bee losing his voice. Curious to see what they do next. I mean the past 5 films have been successful at being inconsistent so who knows, maybe this will magically fit in? I don't think so but that could also be a good thing.

Other peeps thoughts?
