Re: Anyone want to pre-order the first MP combiner--raiden?
My take is at least ¥12000 to ¥15000 MSRP per piece depends on the size (all trainbots from the original G1 version of Raiden are about the same size), with a street price of ¥9000 to ¥12000. So I expected the whole set will be around $900 our money for all six from places like Amazon Japan, etc where MPs are always sold at discount.
Or, they may mean something else when they say “masterpiece” - the whole thing may well be the size of the G1 version but with a lot more details and articulations, an updated “masterpiece” not a MP if you get my drift. In this case, it maybe around $300 to $400, in line with their new Diaclone and “Chogokin” class products from other companies.
We will see.
TakaraTomy definitely not have N America market in mind, but it kind of going back to their Diaclone heritage. Having seen the Japanese G1 at the time and grew up craving the original Diaclone I so wanted one regardless. And if Zeta still planned to make theirs I wanted that too! Such negativity here...
