Yeah, there's no special trick to using Amazon.com, especially if you already have a Amazon.ca account (one logs you into the other).
Shipping costs are quite reasonable and the exchange rate isn't bad either (using Nemesis Prime as an example, the rate was 1.4 CDN to 1 USD, but the current exchange is closer to 1.3 CDN), so you're not looking to pay a whole lot more than you would have if the exclusives follow the same trend.
If you really want these guys, I think the best bet is to put in the orders now just to be on the safe side.
