I was intrigued to see how their loose, tongue in cheek style would work with a young Han Solo story. Now we'll never know.
Apparently their style didn't work with (legendary screenwriter) Lawrence Kasdan's script so Kathleen Kennedy let them go with Ron Howard rumored to replace them.
