Talking shapeways - Xovergen Powermaster Prime Upgrade Parts

i have been working on a number of upgrades for the 3rd party Powermaster Optimus prime, which consists of classics optimus prime + xovergen trailerforce masterarmor. some of the parts enhance aesthetics while some address stability issues

here's a shopping list of parts i have in mind or already working on:
01 smokestacks for cab COMPLETE
02 powermaster engine for cab IN PROGRESS
03 articulated hands for cab (low priority) IN PROGRESS
04 bracket for black mini-cannons COMPLETE
05 side panels for combined mode legs IN PROGRESS
06 new wrist joint for combined mode hands UNDER PLANNING

any other requests or suggestions to the shopping list are welcome

list of completed parts for sale at my shapeways store:
- 01 smokestacks for cab (regular mold version): https://www.shapeways.com/model/1203...okestacks.html
- 04 brackets for black mini-cannons: https://www.shapeways.com/model/1207...t-upgrade.html

01 smokestacks for cab
- COMPLETE
- a pair of more realistic smokestacks for the cab, works for vehicle mode, cab robot mode, combined mode
- please visit TFW thread for details: http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/radico...s-upgrade.html

02 powermaster engine for cab

- IN PROGRESS
- a bracket-like powermaster engine piece to attach to grill portion of cab, works for vehicle mode, cab robot mode, combined mode
- attaches to cab robot mode from the back just like G1 powermaster cab
- was thinking of doing a transformable powermaster figure, but gave up on the idea because in combined mode the belly is pretty fat already with the protruding cab; adding another thick engine piece will make prime look like he's 9-months pregnant and kill aesthetics IMHO
- working model created, detailed sculpt and aesthetics to follow

03 articulated hands for cab
- IN PROGRESS but low priority (because it does not affect the look of the combined mode)
- replaces blocky hands on classics prime, fits in vehicle mode
- same level of articulation as combined mode hands
- working model created, fairly promising, but sadly unable to hold any 5mm weapons yet, little fingers abit fragile, may need a total re-design

04 bracket for mini-cannons
- COMPLETE
- address pegs not holding up due to gravity and loose hinge issues
- works in both upright and rotated peg setups

05 side panels for combined mode legs
- IN PROGRESS
- widens the skinny blue legs in combined mode, purely aethestic, to resemble the gray panels in G1 toy
- for use in combined robot mode only, no plans to have it work in trailer or base mode (will be too expensive to print otherwise)
- working frame created, detailed panel sculpt and aesthetics to follow

06 new wrist joint for combined mode hands
- UNDER PLANNING
- addresses the issue where the hands sag down and wont stay up when holding heavy guns
- already have a general idea on how to tackle this problem, just too busy doing the other parts LOL

a bunch of WIP pics:

i will keep updating pics when i have newer prints done. comments or questions are welcome
