I found a few more restrictions:
1. Your cart must be over $50 in the seller's currency, it's not specifically Canadian dollars. I had $48 USD in my cart and it wouldn't work for me.
2. If you have items in your cart of different currencies, they will be checked out separately and treated as separate purchases. In order to use the coupon, each currency grouping must be over $50.
