Hm, not entirely sure about that. In a way, though, the above '84 Mini-bots did get a 21st-century re-release in one form or another. Huffer and Gears were part of a Mini-bots 6-pack under Takara's
Transformers Collection re-issue line (a.k.a. the so-called "Dreamwave re-issues" in the "book boxes"). As for the others, they were re-made as the transforming keychains by Fun4All.
Granted, all that was at least 14 years ago, sometime before the Encore line, so....
