Re: Does anyone have any experience with Last Will kits?

You can use a last will kit, and from what I understand it's fairly simple. I'm not sure, but you may still need a notary to witness it and maybe someone to file the paperwork to make it official or filed with the courts? Don't forget the living will / power of attorney parts, they might end up being the most important in the long run.

If you're worried about navigating the process, however, you might just want to go ahead and call a lawyer in your area who specializes in family or estate law. It shouldn't end up costing you more than $100-200, I wouldn't think (it's not a very difficult process unless you want very complex, specific conditions), and you'd have peace of mind regarding it all being done right. Edit: Im seeing significantly higher figures in online articles, but it wouldn't hurt to ask for a quote?

If you're reading this from Quebec (I don't think you are) keep in mind the law is slightly different there (more influenced by the French legal system), so be sure to buy the right will kit for Quebec.
