I upload my pictures on a separate picture-sharing site (used to use Photobucket, but now use Imgur and OneDrive).
Basically, use BBCode tags with the opening and closing "IMG" tags, like this:

[XYZ]http://YOUR_PICTURE_URL.jpg[/XYZ]
but replace "XYZ" with "IMG"
That'll get you pictures included directly into your message post (like the way I do it).
If you want them attached to the end of the message like the way ConvoyGTR does it, I think you have to use the "Manage Attachments" section when you create your post.
