Sorry, I hadn't seen this response until now so didn't answer it at the time.
We charge a flat fee of $15 shipping in order to keep things simple. Of course, this means the more you order the smaller portion of the cost goes to shipping
For the record, we often loose money on shipping as toys tend to be large but light, so we get hit with that good old 'dimensional weight' but we do try to keep the shipping as low as we can.
In regards to taxes, not much we can do to help you there. Unfortunately, we are required like any other legit retailer, to collect and remit taxes. As I always tell people, if you can convince the government not to want the taxes from me, then I don't need to collect them from you
