I also saw this in Guelph and took my 10 year old son and a friend of his with me. My son knows transformers well, has seen this movie before on DVD and loves transformers. His friend doesn't really know Transformers all that well other than basically being aware of the Bay movies. What was awesome about this was hearing this 10 year old boy, who had never seen this film, say repeatedly throughout the movie:
"This is So Cool!"
He must have said that 20 times during the film and it warmed my heart each time.
What I was amazed at was how much you could see and hear on the big screen, that's not really apparent on DVD or even Blue-ray. Just background details and sounds but it really added to the experience. I also think there's ground for another remastering if someone waned to do it, some scenes were still a bit blurry or miscoloured, not terrible but the perfect version of this film does not exist yet.
