Re: Is it time to stop glorifying the brand and focus on the designer?

Designers and artists aren't the same.
I think you just like to offer an opposite view to anything I bring up.

Re: Is it time to stop glorifying the brand and focus on the designer?

That's a great point about intellectual property.
So I also would imagine that you believe then that comic book artists do not deserve recognition for their artistic contribution. I can safely...

Re: Is it time to stop glorifying the brand and focus on the designer?

Clearly the recurring argument for liscencing s a strong element of this conversation and it might be influencing the answers in a roundabout kinda way.

So I ask you in a different context-...

Re: Is it time to stop glorifying the brand and focus on the designer?

Re: Is it time to stop glorifying the brand and focus on the designer?

It's a discussion forum about transformers. Better to overthink something than to not think at all isn't it?

Maybe I should just go. Seems like a lot of people can't deal with thoughtful...

Re: Is it time to stop glorifying the brand and focus on the designer?

And yes, devaluing artistry is what's wrong with the world. Among other things, but this isn't about irrelevant things. It's about treating artists to the acknowledgement they deserve.
It's about...

Re: Is it time to stop glorifying the brand and focus on the designer?

Re: Is it time to stop glorifying the brand and focus on the designer?

Director over actor. Good point.
Lol. Nutjobs will be nutjobs despite where the name is on anything. Unfortunately that's not a reason to hide behind a brand. Bachman just did that to see if the...

Re: Is it time to stop glorifying the brand and focus on the designer?

This is what's wrong with the world. When artisans become less admired than the companies they made become what they are, society has failed.

Creative brilliance should never be homogenized. IMO,...

Re: Is it time to stop glorifying the brand and focus on the designer?

I think you are taking the question to the extreme.

The question is not if the toy should be labelled as the designer. The question is whether the designer should be acknowledged on the box much...

Is it time to stop glorifying the brand and focus on the designer?

In Hollywood, it is often the lead actor that makes the movie. The actor is the main ingredient that makes the recipe come together and be a success.

Is the world of Transformers collecting ready...

Re: Walmart Canada Black Friday Sale on Star Wars Black 6-Inch Figures

My walmart cheerlessly, dejectedly, dismally, dolefully, gloomily, grievously, joylessly, morosely, sorrowfully, wistfully has no black series 6 inch.

Re: Don't know which figures to get (HELP)

You know, once you get MP-10 it's all over.

Re: Biggest letdown of the year

I believe that a flop can be described by the consumer and have a different meaning than it would to the ones marketing it.

Much in the way I would call the Bayformers a flop. It's certainly a...
