Re: Calgary - Garage Sale June 12th - Lots of MISB/MOSC TFs!!

All my G1 stuff is wrapped up in bubble wrap in my parents' basement... over the summer I'll be digging it out and sorting through it and figuring out what to keep and what to let go... I'm not...

Calgary - Garage Sale June 12th - Lots of MISB/MOSC TFs!!

Hey guys,

I haven't been on here in a while... forgot my password and the email account I use for this place has been deleted for a while too. Just by the sheer power of throwing passwords at the...

Foxw

An easy transaction on both ends. Foxw bought a couple of Mini-Con sets from my sale thread, paid quickly, and kept in communication throughout the transaction. :)

Re: The Allspark did something pretty awesome today.

Thanks guys. As a little follow-up, there ended up being some money leftover when we bought the book, so the guys organizing the drive for the catalog decided to donate the surplus (as well as...

Exclamation The Allspark did something pretty awesome today.

What'd we do, you ask? Well, a copy of Hasbro's catalog for the 1986 Toy Fair showed up on Ebay, which includes several photos of pre-production Transformers figures from that year's line. There are...

Re: Anyone in Calgary need a job?

What are the hours like? I'm looking for something PT (evenings/weekends) to get me the hell out of HMV... four years of that nonsense is enough!

Re: Classicsverse Voyager (yes Voyager) Galvatron Complete!!!

This looks great... amazing that it started as a klunky KO!

I like your technique of building little jigs out of Lego. That'll save me a LOT of headaches in the future!

Re: I Have to Apologize to Animated Fans

Dang! It just looks so much better in general. If they'd looked like this over here I probably would've collected the line, but as they are, I only bought one figure... for kitbash fodder.

Sadly...

I figured since I've started dealing on these baords, and I'm hoping some of the packages I sent out last week will be arriving at people's doors soon, I ought to start a feedback thread here. Since...

Re: Classics/Universe Dead End - my first custom figure!

Thanks, guys! I started in on my next custom last night... my own version of Wildrider. Still don't think I'll do a full combining Menasor, but I'll probably end up with a full Stuntitcon roster in...

Re: Bruticus on clearance @ Zellers

Man, Zeller's NEVER clearances anything here... but I'll check on this next time I'm near one of their stores. I'd pick that set up at 40% off.

Re: Classics/Universe Dead End - my first custom figure!

A member on another forum asked for some photos of this figure with the reversed transformation, so I figured I'd share those here as well. Gotta admit I'm not a big fan of this transformation; I've...

Re: Classics/Universe Dead End - my first custom figure!

It's actually a Sunstreaker body... I just reversed the arms to allow for the Sideswipe-style transform with the hood as chest. If you look closely in pic #2 you can see a spot right under the...

Re: G1 Starscream

Looks really nice, Venksta! My only crit would be that the head looks a *little* bit too wide, but it's a minor quibble.

Did you base this off the Robot Masters figure at all? That's totally the...

Re: Classics/Universe Dead End - my first custom figure!

Thanks for the kind words, guys! :)

I haven't decided if I'll do all of 'em yet. When I started on Dead End, I was planning to do the whole team as a combiner set, but I kinda lost interest...

Re: Transformers Dreams

For a while I was having this recurring dream where I'd be driving out on random country roads, which I do in my waking life quite a bit... I go hiking a lot, but that's not part of the story....

Classics/Universe Dead End - my first custom figure!

My first ever finished custom figure, that is... of course there have been a few false starts before this one. Starting from a Universe 2.0 Sunstreaker, as many others have done, I decided I wanted...

Re: Terminal Hipster's Big ol' sale Thread!

Updated hold and sold status on the list. I'm going to be mostly offline until Monday - taking a 3-day weekend and won't be online much - so don't worry if I don't reply to PMs right away for the...

Re: Classics/Universe Dead End (WIP)

I did the tail lights with a gloss red, so it does look a little shinier in person, but it doesn't really show up in the pic here. Bad lighting. :P

And yeah, the trim tapes are a bit pricey...

Re: Classics/Universe Dead End (WIP)

Yeah, I dig the Tamiya paints, expecially when I use them with Tamiya spray primers. The paints can be a little thick at times, but a little thinner takes care of that... and makes the jar last twice...

Re: Classics/Universe Dead End (WIP)

Thanks! All the paints so far are Tamiya acrylics, which I add a little bit of thinner to, applied with freehand brush. Except the gold on the face; that's a Games Workshop paint. "Dwarven Bronze," I...
