Re: Chimungmung shipping question ....

I suspect you can credit both of those things to the indifference of the Montreal CBSA office, rather than any efficiency or inefficiency of of any postal outlet.

Re: Internet Shopping & High Loonie Causing Parcel Backlog

Re: loonie now over us dollar.

What I think y'all are overlooking is that the Canadian dollar is not strong right now. It's doing a little under par. The reason it's worth more than the American dollar is because the greenback...

Re: Are we all Transformer or robot addicts?

Hey, could be worse. I spend over $100 a month, most months, on 3D rendering content. At least Transformers actually exist...

Re: problems with fed ex and customs

Re: Claiming customs marked as gift

I don't know, but consider this: GST on $30 is a $1.80. You aren't likely to get back the $5 handling fee (that goes to Canada Post, not Revenue Canada.) How much time is a $1.80 worth to you? Or...

Re: Transformers Movie DVD Release Date October 27, 2007 on Amazon.ca

Well, MI:3 was released on a Sunday. At that caused no end of headaches for us (I work for Blockbuster.) But our system is also showing the 16th.

Re: Anyone pick up the Heros Season 1 DVD set?

Retailers paid for these things six months ago, so their prices are based on costs back then. Also, nobody expects the dollar to remain this strong - every time it's happened, the Bank of Canada has...

Re: What part of Canada do you call home?

Born in St. Albert, now living in Edmonton.

As since no-one else has said it, allow me to be pedantic for a moment and point out that we haven't been a Dominion since 1982. Cool as it sounds and...

Re: Helllllllllllllp! Hide or confess??

My wife will occasionally roll her eyes at the things I buy, and if I put it on my credit card she'll get miffed (with cause, credit cards are not money and when we moved in together I had $12,000...

Re: Why are Americans so anal bout customs

That's why you never, ever get something shipped internationally except by the post office (USPS from the 'States.) If it comes in the mail, CPC will charge you a $5 service charge on top of the...

Re: Hasbro Toy Shop may start shipping to Canada this January

Hasbro doesn't set the price in Canada. At some point, probably a year ago, they made a deal with the Canadian companies - remembering that WalMart Canada or TRU Canada are not the same company as...
