There's no repair for either problem.

It may be complicated, take a picture. I have a feeling you'll have to use a saudering iron on those pins. Once heated they'll melt the plastic and you can yank them off.

Could always just glue around the rim and stick it on permanently.

Mine does the same thing, just need to press alittle more on the blue plastic bracket on the cockpit portion and it stays in. Perfectly fine.
