Re: Repair Thread
It looks/sounds like it's essentially a plastic rivet that doesn't go all the way through.
I don't think there would be any way to get in there and tighten that joint without trying to take it...

Re: Repair Thread
So, to revive this thread slightly, not all toys have issues (chrome from G1 doesn't seem to flake like beastwars does, and some plastics don't fall apart like gold plastic does.
I do believe...

Re: Repair Thread
I would be surprised if the vacuum metalized "chrome" was chipping or flaking off while sitting on the shelf...usually such wear is associated with rubbing of pieces. then again I don't have many so...

Re: Repair Thread
Ratchet joints really? The kind that click when you move them? Could be the ratchet part is cracked...that results in less pressure being applied than should, and can create a floppy joint (at...

Quite a few questions, but I have no answers for any of you, except maybe Matrixholder.

Unfortunately I can't help you, I have never taken one apart, but I'm sure it is possible. Most transformers can be taken apart, some more or less than others.
I can only give general tips, look...

Universe cyclonus has a similar issue with his wings, you can only see one end of the pin, not the other, so you can't knock it out...

Re: Repair Thread
Yeah, to clarify the issue with mine was it was no longer "square" and so the little latch that should release was sticking as a result. If that's your issue, you might be able to bend it back...
